Boys Basketball: Season Preview
On November 30th the Garfield boys basketball team will kick off their season with a home game against Bishop Blanchet. They’ll hope to return to the form of two years ago when the Bulldogs won the state championship. They finished last season with a record of 8-4 after quickly being knocked out of the Metro League Tournament.
Girls Swim: Season Recap
Going into this season after two years online, we knew it was going to be unique. Looking back now, I don’t think I could have predicted how special this season would become. We started the season without a coach and for two entire weeks, the captains completely ran practices with the help of the managers and Ms. Lynch oversaw the practices.
Boys Swim: Season Preview
This year, the Garfield Boys swim team has a lot to live up to. Following the girls’ 5th place finish at state, the team has big shoes to fill. Before the season started, struggles were encountered trying to find a new coach. Luckily, new head coach Brennon Ham stepped up a week before the season started. His experience working with SPS before has allowed him to effortlessly find his place as head coach. He’s started off the season with a combination of difficult sets and racing practice, as well as encouraging team bonding and welcoming new swimmers.
Football: Garfield vs Marysville Pilchuck Recap
On November 13th the Garfield Bulldogs lost 52-21 against the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks in the first round of the state tournament. This loss marks the end of the Bulldog’s season.
