Garfield vs O'Dea Recap

After a dominating performance the Bulldogs lost 49-7 to O'Dea. This loss puts Garfield’s record at 1-4.
O’Dea set the tone of the game early with a 65-yard passing touchdown. The Bulldogs then quickly gave possession back after a turnover on downs. O’Dea took advantage of the good field position Garfield gave them, by scoring a 12-yard touchdown. The Bulldogs then threw the first of multiple interceptions. O’Dea swiftly responded with a throw to the tight end in the end zone. The Bulldogs finally struck back with a fantastic screen pass from quarterback EJ Caminong to wide receiver Angus Vlasaty who ran 45 yards for Garfield’s first touchdown of the game. O’Dea, after a strong drive, scored on a short run play. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, a bad throw was intercepted and returned for a touchdown bringing the score after a miserable first quarter to 35-7 in favor of O’Dea.
The second quarter didn’t start much better than the first because O’Dea quickly scored another touchdown. The Bulldogs then threw another interception.
