Garfield vs Nathan Hale Recap

In the final match of the year, the Garfield golf team played against Nathan Hale High School, trying to end it with a win. Garfield got it with a dominant 111-89 victory. Garfield ends the season at 7-3-0.
Senior Jack Theiss and freshman Jake Rogers led it off with a tremendous performance. Jack had a spectacular round, shooting 38 for 25 points. Jake also played well, he shot 41 for 22. The first group combined for 47 points. Senior Jack Jassy and freshman James Lynch went next. Jack had a nice round, shooting 46 for 17 points. James shot 48 for 15 points. The second group combined for 32 points. Freshman Cole Yagi and sophomore Jackson Schlemmer played in the third group. Cole played decently, he shot 46 for a score of 17. Jackson also played nicely, he shot 48 for a score of 15. The third group combined for 32 points. Garfield added up to 111 points, a decent total to end the season. Nathan Hale ended with 89 points. Garfield won 111-89.
Overall, the Garfield golf team ended the year nicely with a 7-3-0 record. 7-3-0 is the best season Garfield has had in at least the last five years. Garfield looks to continue the momentum into metros on Tuesday, October 18th, at Jefferson Park golf course.
